SERVICES

IKH Psychology provides a range of evidenced-based psychological treatments for children, youth and adults across all phases of life.

Therapeutic approaches:​

Sessions are 50-60 minutes in duration.

​

You do not need a referral to access support - you can just book an appointment. Referral and funding options have been provided below for you to consider if they are relevant to your circumstance. Refer to the Fees page for associated costs.

Services can be provided in person or via telehealth (your preference of video or phone).

Please note that IKH Psychology does not provide an Assessment Service. (i.e. does not undertake diagnostic assessments for Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD or Intellectual/Cognitive Impairment)

CHILDREN & ADOLESCENCE

Providing treatment for a variety of child and parenting related presentations, including:​

  • Anxiety & Stress

  • Mood Related Disorders

  • Sleep Difficulties 

  • Transition Issues (i.e. change of schools, starting/finishing school)

  • Self-esteem & Confidence

  • Emotional regulation

  • Parenting Support

WOMENS HEALTH 
(Adolescences & Adults)

Providing psychological treatment for the adjustment and wellbeing in the context of female related health conditions including:

  • Menarche

  • Gynaecological conditions

  • Perinatal and postnatal mental health

  • Fertility & conception journey

  • Termination

  • High risk pregnancies

  • Birth challenges and/or trauma

  • Premature delivery

  • Perimenopausal

  • Menopause

Providing treatment for a variety of adult presentations, including:​

  • Depression

  • Adjustment 

  • Chronic Pain

  • Grief & Loss

COMMON REFERRALS & FUNDING OPTIONS

MENTAL HEALTH CARE PLAN (MHCP)

Those who are eligible can request a referral through their GP under the Better Access Initiative. This allows you to see a clinical psychologist for a set amount of sessions within the calendar year with a proportion of the cost rebated by Medicare.

NATIONAL DISABILITY INSURANCE SCHEME (NDIS)

Eligible self-managed or plan-managed NDIS participants can access psychological therapy through IKH Psychology.

PERINATAL NON-DIRECTIVE COUNSELLING

Those who are eligible (experiencing pregnancy-related concerns or issues) can access a referral through GP. This allows you to see a clinical psychologist for up to 3 sessions with a proportion of the cost rebated by Medicare. * Non-directive counselling means person centred counselling*

DEPARTMENT OF VETERAN'S AFFAIRS (DVA)

Eligible DVA Gold or White cards holders are entitled to certain benefits, including psychology. Some limits apply, please contact DVA to check your entitlements.

PRIVATE / NO REFERRAL

No referral necessary. For these sessions you may be eligible to receive a rebate through your private health fund.
